Indications

Plenity is a medical device that promotes a feeling of satiety, supporting you on your weight loss journey. It is indicated for weight loss in overweight or obese adults with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 25 to 40 kg/m2.

Plenity is an oral capsule that helps with weight loss. It is taken with water twice a day, before lunch and dinner. It acts in the stomach to promote a feeling of fullness, helping you eat less throughout the day.

Plenity is Made from two naturally occurring ingredients: cellulose and citric acid. When taken with water, Plenity capsules release gel particles into the stomach. The particles absorb water and mix with food, promoting and anticipating a feeling of satiety. This helps reduce food intake. Plenity passes through the digestive tract and breaks down in the colon. Water is released from the Plenity particles and reabsorbed by the body. The particles are finally expelled through normal bowel movements (and are therefore not absorbed).

Plenity is supplied in pods. Each pod contains a single dose of 3 capsules, to be taken with water before lunch and dinner. When combined with a healthy diet and exercise, Plenity can help with weight loss. In the Glow clinical study, 59% of people who took Plenity for 6 months lost 5% or more of their weight, compared to 42% of people in the placebo group. On average, weight loss for people taking Plenity was 6%, compared to 4% in the placebo group.

• After taking Plenity, drink additional water.
• Plenity particles hydrate in the stomach, where they mix with food, creating greater volume.
• Plenity's gelatinous particles maintain their shape and volume during transit through the small intestine.
• When Plenity particles are broken down in the colon, water is released and reabsorbed in the colon.
• Once broken down, Plenity particles pass through the colon and are eliminated with bowel movements.

Ingredients

Plenity is composed of two naturally occurring ingredients: a polymer derived from cellulose and citric acid, naturally found in citrus fruits. Other ingredients include sodium stearyl fumarate, porcine gelatin, and titanium dioxide.

Allergens: Do not use if you have an allergic reaction to cellulose, citric acid, sodium stearyl fumarate, porcine gelatin, or titanium dioxide.

Directions for Use and Dosage

Plenity should be taken with water twice daily, 20 to 30 minutes before lunch and 20 to 30 minutes before dinner.

Each dose consists of 3 Plenity capsules, supplied in a single pod. Follow these steps for each dose:

1. Make sure the capsules are not broken, crushed, or damaged. (Discard any damaged capsules.)
2. Swallow the 3 capsules, one at a time, with water.
3. After swallowing the capsules, drink 2 more glasses of water (8 fl oz/250 ml each).
4. After taking Plenity, wait 20 to 30 minutes before starting a meal.

If you forget to take your dose before a meal, take Plenity during or immediately after a meal.

Warnings

Plenity cannot be used in children. Plenity should be used by:

• pregnant women;
• people with allergic reactions to cellulose, citric acid, sodium stearyl fumarate, porcine gelatin, titanium dioxide.

On an empty stomach, Plenity can affect the way your body absorbs medications. This may cause some medications not to work properly. If you are taking any medicines, including those obtained without a prescription, tell your doctor or pharmacist before starting treatment with Plenity. While using Plenity, do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any other medicines without the approval of your doctor or pharmacist.

To avoid possible interference with Plenity's absorption of medications:

• Take medications to be taken with food after starting a meal.
• Take medications to be taken on an empty stomach at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after consuming Plenity and a meal.
