Product Description

Sustained-release capsules for the treatment of Vitamin C deficiencies.

Indications

C-Tard 500 Mg is indicated for the prevention and treatment of Vitamin C deficiency syndromes and in states of increased need.
Furthermore, the drug is presented as an adjuvant in the treatment of stomatitis and gingivitis.
Ascorbic acid, the active ingredient of C-Tard, is a water-soluble vitamin involved in numerous enzymatic reactions and in different metabolic pathways.
Its importance in cellular economy is mainly due to its direct and indirect antioxidant activity, which is very effective in preventing oxidative damage induced by reactive oxygen species.
However, the same vitamin is also involved in numerous other biological reactions such as:

• Synthesis of carnitine and mitochondrial metabolism of fatty acids fats.
• Synthesis of steroid hormones and catecholamines, necessary for endocrine homeostasis.
• Synthesis of collagen, the main protein of the extracellular matrix of connective tissues.
• Enhancement of immunomodulatory activity.

Severe Vitamin C deficiencies inevitably affect the overall health of the body, significantly compromising various functions.

Composition

Active ingredients per capsule: Ascorbic acid 500 mg in sustained-release microbeads.
Excipients: Sucrose, Gum Iac, Talc, Starch, Tartaric acid, Gelatin, Titanium dioxide, Yellow iron oxide, Erythrosine, Quinoline yellow.

Directions Directions for use and Dosage

One capsule of C-Tard in the morning and one capsule in the evening.
Do not exceed the recommended doses.

Warnings

Ascorbic acid may interfere, at high doses, with the results of some diagnostic tests (in particular the search for glucose in urine with non-specific means).
The product contains sucrose; this should be taken into account in diabetic patients and in patients on a low-calorie diet.
After a short period of treatment without appreciable results, consult your doctor.
Keep out of reach of children.
