What is Rovigon used for: indications

Rovigon is part of the therapeutic category of vitamin products based on vitamin A and vitamin E.

It is indicated in all deficiency states due to malabsorption, especially lipid or malnutrition and related symptomatic conditions. Furthermore, Rovigon tablets, as a balanced combination of vitamins A and E, is indicated in functional disorders and degenerative manifestations of tissues of epithelial and mesodermal origin (for example degenerative retinopathies, inner ear disorders, etc.), especially in middle-aged and elderly people.

Composition

• Active ingredients: One chewable coated tablet contains: retinol 30,000 IU (as vitamin A palmitate 1.7 MIU/g with BHA/BHT), dl–α–tocopheryl acetate 70 mg (as vitamin E 50 CWS/S).
• Excipients: Sucrose, anhydrous glucose, mannitol, cocoa powder, skimmed milk powder, cocoa butter, povidone K30, glycerol, ethyl vanillin, caramel flavoring, rice starch, talc, dried nebulized gum arabic, sodium carmellose, β–carotene (E 160a) 10% CWS, solid paraffin, light liquid paraffin.

Dosage and Directions for Use

The chewable vitamins of Rovigon must be taken orally. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the recommended dose is 1 tablet per day for a maximum of 4 weeks. The treatment cycle can be repeated throughout the year, at your doctor's discretion. The dosage should be adjusted based on serum vitamin A and vitamin E levels.

Rovigon is contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.

Warnings

To avoid the appearance of signs and symptoms of overdose, it is recommended to use the product under medical supervision and for the period of time deemed strictly necessary. Vitamin E-based preparations should be used with caution by patients with diabetes or heart failure, because this vitamin can reduce the need for insulin and digitalis.

Do not use during pregnancy or if you are trying to become pregnant.
