Excipients

Sorbitol solution 70% 4.075g sodium benzoate 0.048g black cherry juice 0.98g orgeat juice 0.98g sucrose 1.5g demineralized water to taste. 10ml

Therapeutic indications

Pediatrics: All states of malnutrition in children, infants and premature babies, growth retardation, underweight, dystrophies, anorexia, weight loss from any cause, states of post-infectious debilitation. Internal medicine: Pathological weight loss of any etiology, thinness without apparent cause, loss of appetite, asthenia, convalescence, as an anticatabolic in prolonged cortisone therapy and in thyrotoxicosis, in hypoproteinemia of liver disease and nephrosis.

Contraindications

Individual hypersensitivity already ascertained to the product.

Dosage

Infants and premature babies: one bottle per day diluted in water. Children and adolescents: 1-2 bottles per day diluted in water. Adults: 2-3 bottles per day.

Warnings and precautions

No particular precautions should be observed when using the drug. Warnings: Given the particular lability and photosensitivity of Cobamamide, any solution of the product in liquids or its mixing with other foods must take place immediately before administration. The drug does not cause habituation or dependence. Products containing cobamamide should not be administered to anemic subjects unless investigations are carried out to establish the exact nature of the anemia. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

Interactions

There are no known interactions with other drugs.

Side effects

Cases of convulsions have been reported in patients, with or without a history of convulsive activity, who received "Levocarnitine" orally or intravenously.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

The product can be administered during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
