Food supplement useful for correct thyroid function
Indications
Selima is a food supplement with a high concentration of selenium, useful in case of low dietary intake or increased need for this nutrient. Selenium contributes to normal thyroid function.
Selenium plays an important role in the defense of thyroid cells as an antioxidant and at the same time promotes the correct metabolism of thyroid hormones (1.2). A selenium deficiency can trigger organic processes capable of favoring the onset of thyroid diseases, particularly autoimmune ones:
- L-Selenomethionine is the organic form of selenium, through which this trace element is absorbed more quickly and retained longer in the tissues. The most easy absorption at intestinal level, allows Selenomethionine to reach bioavailability levels 1.5-2 times higher than inorganic forms.
- Selenium yeast, obtained by growing it in appropriate culture media rich in this nutrient, in order to provide an additional supply of Selenium to the body.
- D-Limonene useful as a carrier of the active ingredients, also gives the tablet a pleasant lemon flavor.

Directions for use and Dosage
We recommend taking 1 tablet per day to dissolve in the mouth, regardless of meals.
Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Keep out of reach of children under three years of age.

Do not take during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
