Product Description

Indications

Zymerex Regola works by softening the stool and promoting regularization of intestinal function and motility through a combination of osmotic effects.

Macrogol 3350, thanks to its affinity for water, helps absorb the water present in the lumen, increasing fecal volume, making the stool softer and more compact. easy to expel without causing cramps, abdominal pain, or emergency conditions.

The water-soluble fiber contained in psyllium creates a gel that hydrates the fecal mass.

Thanks to this ability, psyllium promotes the regulation of intestinal function, stimulating peristalsis, reducing intestinal transit time, aiding evacuation. The presence of simethicone in the formulation, thanks to its anti-foaming action, is effective in absorbing gastrointestinal gas associated with constipation.

Composition

Each sachet contains: macrogol 3350, psyllium, and simethicone. Excipients: citric acid, sucralose, acesulfame K, flavorings (orange and safflower), silicon dioxide, sodium bicarbonate, sunflower lecithin.

Gluten-free, naturally lactose-free.

Directions for use and Dosage

• Children from 6 to 12 years old: 1 sachet per day.
• Adults and children over 12 years old: 2 sachets per day.

Before using the product in children, it is advisable to consult your doctor.

Dissolve each sachet well in a full glass of water and drink immediately.

Since Psyllium has the ability to create a gel, the product should be taken between meals with an adequate amount of water (at least a full glass of water, two glasses, if possible), to prevent it from swelling in the throat and causing choking.

It is recommended to drink at least 2 liters of water a day for adults, and at least 1 - 1.5 liters a day for children and adolescents. If the condition still persists after taking the product, consult your doctor.

Warnings

• Repeated use may be necessary in case of refractory or chronic constipation. This type of constipation can be caused by painkillers (opioids) and drugs for the treatment of Parkinson's disease (anticholinergics) or can occur in the case of diseases such as multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's. In these cases, do not take Zymerex Regola for more than 1 hour. 30 consecutive days. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
• Do not use the product for children under 6 years of age. Before using the product on children, it is advisable to consult your doctor. Keep out of reach of children. Do not take the product after the expiration date printed on the box. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take the medical device only if necessary and after consulting a doctor.
• Do not take the product for more than 30 consecutive days. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor. Do not take if you are intolerant to the product.
• Do not take if you are known to be hypersensitive to the components and polyethylene glycol.
• Each sachet is for single use only and should be opened only before use.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

There is no experience with its use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so it is recommended to take Zymerex Regola only on medical advice.

Patients with renal impairment

It is not necessary to adjust the dosage. Use the product until symptoms resolve.

Contraindications

Do not use Zymerex Regola in case of:

• Intestinal obstruction or stenosis;
• Intestinal perforation;
• Inflammatory bowel syndromes (for example, Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis).

Side effects

In the doses required to achieve a therapeutic effect, the occurrence of side effects has been rarely reported. Sometimes transient gastrointestinal disturbances may appear, such as diarrhea (especially at the beginning), abdominal pain, borborygmi and nausea. Rarely, the components of the product have caused hypersensitivity reactions (rush and urticaria). However, if intolerance or other side effects occur, discontinue treatment immediately. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.

Interactions with food supplements and drugs

When ingested concomitantly with other drugs, Zymerex Regola may alter their bioavailability. In particular, the osmotic potency of PEG and the increased speed of gastrointestinal transit may negatively influence their efficacy. Psyllium may enhance the effect of antidiabetic drugs by causing an excessive hypoglycemic effect.

As a general rule, it is advisable to take medications or food supplements at least 2 hours after or before using the product. However, consult a doctor before taking the product in the case of other therapies with life-saving drugs (such as insulin).

Simethicone may interfere with the effect of some reagents used in diagnostics, such as guaiac gum.

Storage

Store in a dry place away from direct heat or light: open the sachet only just before use. Do not use if the sachet is damaged. Keep out of reach of children. Keep the device below 25°C. Do not use the product after the expiry date printed on the package. The expiry date refers to the product in its intact package and stored correctly. Shelf life with intact packaging: 30 months. The expired device or any device to be disposed of must be managed in accordance with the waste management regulations of the Local Management Authority. Do not dispose of the product or its packaging in the environment under any circumstances.
