Indications

Thanks to its affinity for water, PediaPeg softens stool, facilitating evacuation. It does not cause cramps, abdominal pain, or urgency. PediaPeg is not absorbed in the intestine and is expelled unchanged. Useful in cases of occasionally irregular bowel movements and for the treatment of chronic constipation.

• Gluten-free and lactose-free.

Composition

Macrogol 3350. Excipients: silicon dioxide, flavoring, sodium saccharin.

Directions for use and Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, it is advisable to use PediaPeg according to the following instructions:

• children from 6 months to 2 years (weighing up to 12 kg): 0.8 g/kg/day;
• children from 2 to 11 years (from 12 kg to 20 kg): 1 g/kg/day;
• over 11 years (or > 20 kg): 10-30 g/kg/day.

Based on the dosage indicated above, take the quantity of product using the measuring cup with markings that allow you to dose 0.5 g (first marking), 1 g (second marking) and 2 g (level measuring cup) of product. Dissolve one level measuring cup (equal to 2 g) in approximately 1/4 glass of water (approximately 25 ml). Drink the reconstituted solution. It is possible to divide the daily dose into several administrations. The product can be be reconstituted in advance in the appropriate volume of water and the solution stored in the refrigerator covered for up to 24 hours.

It is recommended to take Pediapeg away from meals.
