Product Description

Zuccarin White Mulberry

Food supplement based on Japanese white mulberry leaf extract (Morus alba L.). Helps maintain physiological blood sugar levels.
White mulberry leaves contain a substance called Deoxinojirimycin (DNJ), which significantly reduces the transformation of sugars (polysaccharides) into glucose, thus slowing the absorption of sugars by the blood. Reducing blood sugar concentration also reduces calorie intake, significantly aiding weight loss.
White Mulberry (Morus alba L.) White mulberry leaves inhibit the activity of alpha-Glucosidase, reducing the action of carbohydrate-digesting enzymes and decreasing the transformation of sugars (polysaccharides) into glucose. This delays the absorption of sugars and reduces postprandial hyperglycemia. In 1995, New Nordic and the Japanese company Sankyo Pharma began a joint program to develop, test, and produce tablets containing NATURAL Deoxinojirimycin (DNJ). White mulberry leaves were collected and dried, and the standardized extract was used to produce Zuccarin™ tablets for this study. Oral administration of 1 g of white mulberry extract, three times a day, after each meal, for 30 days, significantly reduces blood glucose concentrations and also significantly improves the lipid profile of patients with type 2 diabetes. (Cholesterol -12% and triglycerides -16%) - Studies conducted at: Food and Drug Department, Kanagawa Prefectural Public Health Lab. – Japan; Sidebold University, Nagasaki – Japan – February 2004. The study showed that the recommended daily dose of standardized white mulberry extract (Zuccarin™), containing 12 mg of DNJ, inhibits the absorption of sugars during digestion, making Zuccarin™ a powerful first-line therapy against hyperglycemia, thus regulating energy intake (fewer calories also equals weight loss). Totally natural, produced exclusively with herbal extracts, without added preservatives, flavorings, sugars, salts, and yeasts. It is completely free of gluten, lactose, and soy derivatives and can also be used by vegetarians, vegans, and celiacs.
