Indications
Armolipid is a natural food supplement containing red yeast rice (Monascus Purpureus), policosanols, folic acid, coenzyme Q10, and astaxanthin-rich oleoresin derived from the algae Haematococcus pluvialis. Cholesterol is produced by the liver and is present in all cells of the body. In addition to the amount normally produced by the body, cholesterol can be introduced externally through diet. If present in excess, cholesterol can be harmful to the body, particularly to the health of the cardiovascular system. Therefore, it is important in these conditions to adopt a healthy lifestyle (e.g., physical activity, avoiding alcohol, nicotine, and stress) and a balanced diet.
Active ingredients
- Red Yeast Rice (Monascus Purpureus) is produced by fermenting rice (Oryza sativa) with a particular strain of Monascus purpureus. Red Yeast Rice contains monacolins.
- Policosanols are a mixture of natural fatty alcohols found in the waxy matrix of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum), rice bran (Oryza sativa), and beeswax (Apis mellifera).
- Folic acid contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism. Homocysteine is a substance normally produced in the body following the metabolism of the amino acid methionine, which we consume through food. The homocysteine produced is then converted back into methionine. If this reconversion process does not occur, or occurs only partially, the untransformed homocysteine accumulates in the body and can be harmful to various organs, particularly the cardiovascular system. Armolipid covers the physiological daily requirement of folic acid.
- Coenzyme Q10 is a physiological constituent of our body and is found ubiquitously in nature.
- Astaxanthin is a substance synthesized by the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis and plays an important role in oxidation-reduction reactions.

Directions for Use and Dosage
We recommend taking one tablet daily. If you have difficulty swallowing, break the tablet into two pieces and take them with a glass of water.
Warnings
Each tablet contains 2.8 mg of Monacolins. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Do not consume a daily amount equal to or greater than 3 mg of Monacolins from red yeast rice. Keep out of the sight and reach of children under three years of age. Armolipid should not be consumed by pregnant or breastfeeding women, infants, children, and adolescents under 18 years of age, and adults over 70 years of age. Consult your doctor before using this product. Armolipid should not be consumed if you are taking cholesterol-lowering medications. Armolipid should not be consumed if you are already consuming other products containing red yeast rice. Consult a doctor about the use of this product if you have any health problems. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
