Coenzyme Q10
Component of the mitochondrial respiratory chain and constituent of all membranes, it is biosynthesized in the body. Due to its antioxidant properties, particularly in its reduced form, it is considered important in delaying the aging process.
Vitamin E
α-Tocopherol is an exogenous substance that performs its antioxidant role by transforming into Tocopheryl-o.
The combination of vitamin E and coenzyme Q10 is thought to constitute a powerful defense against oxidative stress.
Lutein and Zeaxanthin
Carotenoids with antioxidant properties. They constitute the pigment present selectively in the retina and particularly concentrated in the macula, where they exert a protective mechanism against exposure to low wavelengths of visible light. Their concentration in the macula is decreased in patients with age-related macular degeneration.
