Diosmetin
Diosmetin, the active metabolite of Diosmin, is absorbed at the intestinal level and, once in circulation, carries out the known activities of: reducing capillary permeability, increasing venous tone and lymphatic flow.
Coumarin
A substance extracted from Melilot officinalis, it is known for several important properties. Coumarin increases capillary resistance, decreases vascular wall permeability, improves venous return and lymphatic circulation; it also has anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous properties.
Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins (OPC)
Belonging to the class of bioflavonoids, oligomeric proanthocyanidins extracted from red vine have demonstrated multiple properties. These substances, initially known for their strong antioxidant action, have been shown to possess excellent trophism for the vessel walls; in particular, the affinity of OPCs for epithelial connective tissue translates into a significant protective action on glucosaminoglycans in conditions of inflammation. The intake of OPCs from Vitis during inflammation of the venous trunk has also been shown to reduce related pain.
Folic Acid
It is a vitamin whose name derives from "folium," which indicated broad-leaf vegetables rich in this substance. It was discovered in 1939 and belongs to the vitamin B group. In adults, its deficiency is linked to an increase in homocysteine, a toxic substance for the cells that make up the inner layer of blood vessels. Studies have shown that homocysteine levels decrease significantly with the introduction of adequate doses of Folic Acid.
Vitamin B6
From the cells of the intestinal epithelium, vitamin B6 passes into the blood where it can be found bound to albumin or hemoglobin. Most of the vitamin is deposited in the liver, where it is stored after phosphorylation, and from there it is released, in a dephosphorylated form, and transferred to the tissues. Vitamin B6, being a water-soluble substance, when in excess is eliminated in the urine after being oxidized. It is involved in numerous reactions as a coenzyme and enhances the activity of folic acid.

Directions for use
Unless otherwise advised by your doctor, we recommend taking 1 or 2 tablets per day away from meals.
