Indications
Eulipid favorably contributes to the physiological balance of cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood in combination with an appropriate diet.
Eulipid is indicated in cases of reduced dietary intake or increased need for its nutrients.
- Berberis aristata: Extracts of this plant have a long history of use in traditional Ayurvedic, Chinese, and South Asian medicine. Berberis aristata extracts are useful for the regular function of the cardiovascular system. Berberine is the main alkaloid present in plants of the Berberis genus.
- Bioflavonoids: Or polymethoxylated flavonoids (PMF), they are a subclass of Citrus flavonoids.
- Policosanols: They are a natural mixture of primary aliphatic alcohols extracted mainly from rice and sugar cane wax.
- Polygonum cuspidatum: It is a plant used in traditional Chinese medicine for its antioxidant, tonic, and purifying properties and to maintain the functionality of the cardiovascular system. Polygonum cuspidatum extract is rich in resveratrol, a bioactive compound belonging to the class of polyphenols also found in red wine. Resveratrol is credited with explaining the so-called "French paradox." The French, despite a diet rich in saturated fats but which also includes regular consumption of red wine, enjoy better cardiovascular health than other populations with comparable consumption of saturated fats (Americans, English, Germans, etc.).
- Tocopherols and Tocotrienols:These are the naturally occurring forms of vitamin E, which acts as a free radical scavenger, helping to protect cells from oxidative stress.
- Coenzyme Q10:It is an oxidative reduction agent that acts in the energy production chain of the mitochondria and is essential for optimizing cellular energy production (in the form of adenosine triphosphate - ATP).
- Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA):It is a compound naturally present in our body that plays a crucial role in the reactions that lead to the production of energy from glucose. In addition to this function, the body uses free alpha-lipoic acid to counteract the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), to chelate metal ions, to repair oxidized proteins and to regenerate other exogenous and endogenous antioxidant compounds such as glutathione, vitamins C and E.
