Food supplement based on fermented red rice with Monascus purpureus, useful for maintaining normal plasma cholesterol levels, and Chromium.

Indications

Fermented red rice is obtained from the fermentation of common rice by various strains of a yeast called Monascus purpureus (red yeast), a microorganism that owes its name to its red color. Fermented red rice contains a group of molecules called monacolins, including Monacolin K. The latter has an inhibitory effect on the enzyme hydroxymethylglutaryl-coA reductase, responsible for the endogenous synthesis of cholesterol. It should be remembered that the endogenous production of cholesterol affects approximately 70-80% of plasma values, while the dietary contribution of cholesterol represents only 30%.

Red Yeast Rice by HealthAid® is a standardized formulation of red yeast rice, containing Monacolins known for their activity on the body. The formula is completed with Chromium, an essential micronutrient, which contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism and the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels.

Red Yeast Rice is free of Citrinin and other mycotoxins.

Adults: one tablet daily with a glass of water.

Warnings

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. They should not be consumed by pregnant or breastfeeding women, children under 18 years of age, and adults over 70 years of age. In case of health problems, consult a doctor. They should not be consumed if you are taking medications to lower cholesterol. Do not consume if you are already consuming products containing red yeast rice.
