Food supplement based on Bromelain, Papain, NSK-SD® fermented soy extract, Meriva® phospholipid turmeric, Vitamin C, Myrrh extract, and Black Pepper Piperine.
Indications
Turmeric promotes normal joint function. Myrrh supports the function of the oropharyngeal mucosa. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of bones and cartilage.
Active ingredients
- Turmeric: Turmeric promotes normal joint function. Curcuma longa L. (Turmeric par excellence or Indian Saffron) is a perennial, rhizomatous herbaceous plant of the Zingiberaceae family, native to Southeast Asia. It is widely used as a remedy for various ailments in many Southeast Asian countries. Curcuminoids and curcumin, the active ingredients of turmeric, are obtained by extraction from the dried and ground rhizome. The resulting product is fat-soluble and bright yellow, tending towards red. Turmeric has long been a spice of scientific interest, as numerous studies have validated its beneficial properties. Curcumin is poorly absorbed in the intestine, which is why Meriva®, a curcumin phytosome, is used in Modulase®. Phytosomes (from the Greek phytón = plant and soma = body) are plant-based complexes that polarly bind curcumin, and other curcuminoids, to phospholipids capable of improving the bioavailability of the active ingredients. Thanks to the use of Meriva® it is therefore possible to optimize the absorption of curcuminoids to make the most of their beneficial properties.
- Myrrh: It is an adjuvant for the functionality of the oropharyngeal mucosa. Myrrh is an aromatic gum resin, extracted from a tree or shrub of the Commiphora genus, of the Burseraceae family. There are over 200 species, but the one most used to produce myrrh is certainly Commiphora myrrha. It is a small tree or shrub about 3 meters tall, very thorny, with three-lobed leaves and small white flowers. In late summer, its trunk and larger branches display numerous nodules that, when cracked, spontaneously release a yellowish resinous liquid in the form of small granules or drops that solidify upon contact with air.
- Bromelain and Papain: Proteolytic enzymes obtained from pineapple and papaya, respectively, facilitate the process of breaking down proteins.
Bromelain is an enzyme found in pineapple; primitive peoples already knew that the highest concentrations of enzymes are found in the inner stem of the unripe fruit and in the leaves. Both the natives of the Caribbean and the inhabitants of Malaysia and East India have always been aware of the beneficial properties of this enzyme. Papain is an enzyme extracted from the latex of the unripe papaya fruit. Its main current use is related to its role in the breakdown of macromolecules, but it is believed to have other important biological properties. - Fermented Soybean Extract Natto: A traditional Japanese food produced through the fermentation of soybeans, with a very strong flavor. Natto is rich in nutrients and also contains nattokinase, a proteolytic enzyme. Traditionally, it was produced by wrapping boiled soybeans in rice straw, which naturally contains bacteria of the Bacillus subtilis genus on its surface. This allows the bacteria to ferment the sugars present in the soybeans, ultimately producing natto. Today, the Bacillus subtilis bacteria have been identified and isolated by researchers, allowing this preparation method to be modernized. The action of Nattokinase is mainly expressed against fibrin.
- Vitamin C: Contributes to the normal formation of collagen for the normal function of bones and cartilage.
