Indications
Lipo Choline by Solgar is a choline-based dietary supplement that contributes to the maintenance of normal liver function and the normal metabolism of lipids and homocysteine. Choline is an important nutrient that is synthesized by the body in small amounts and introduced with the diet through the consumption of brewer's yeast, eggs, and liver. Most of the body's choline is found in phospholipids and plays a fundamental role in the structural integrity of cell membranes: it is in fact a component of phosphatidylcholine, which makes up 50% of the phospholipids used by cells to build their membranes. Choline also contributes to the normal metabolism of homocysteine, a substance that when present in excess is linked to cardiovascular disorders. Choline contributes to normal lipid metabolism and to the maintenance of normal liver function.
