Ingredients
Lactococcus spp., lactobacillus spp., Streptococcus spp., Leuconostoc spp., Saccharomyces spp., corn maltodextrin. Allergens: milk and milk products (including lactose). Gluten-free.
Directions for use and dosage
To be consumed cold, plain or with the addition of jam, honey, or fruit puree. Each sachet is sufficient for 1 liter of milk. Using whole milk results in a more consistent and aromatic kefir.
- Pour the contents of the sachet into a container (glass or plastic jar), add 1 liter of milk at room temperature, and dissolve all the powder well. Using whole milk results in a more consistent and aromatic kefir. Place the lid on without closing it hermetically and place the container in a dark place (cupboard/pantry).
- Let Kefir Linea rest until it matures:
- In a place with a temperature of approximately 25°C to 30°C for 13/17 hours;
- In a place with a temperature of approximately 20°C to 24°C for 24/48 hours;
- In a place with a temperature of 16°C for 3/4 days. - Maturation occurs when the surface of the milk has slightly thickened (coagulation); touching it delicately with a teaspoon should leave an "imprint". Sometimes you will also see some carbon dioxide cells (bubbles) in the milk, which will give the kefir its traditional slightly fizzy taste.
- Once the kefir has matured, place it in the refrigerator for 24 hours, without shaking.
- Before enjoying the kefir, stir gently to make it more homogeneous. Note: Kefir Linea always forms; if necessary, extend the maturation times (point 2) until it is obtained. If whey (clear liquid) forms on the surface of the kefir due to excessive maturation, after letting it cool in the refrigerator, you can remove it or mix it into the kefir, thus obtaining a more acidic taste.
Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age. Food supplements should not be considered a substitute for a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Storage
Grains should be stored in the refrigerator at a temperature of +4.0°C and should be consumed by the expiration date indicated on the package. Freeze-dried grains can be safely kept at room temperature for only a few days, for example the time required for shipping or transport home after purchase.
