Indications

Glycerol which acts as a contact laxative whose effects derive from a local stimulating action and lubrication of the anal canal.

It is also used as a skin emollient for its properties of treating moisture on the surface of the stratum corneum. If diluted with water (10% to 20%) and flavorings, it is also used in the homemade production of e-cigarette liquids.

Warnings

Continued use of laxatives can cause addiction. Do not use laxatives if abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting are present. Prolonged use of laxatives can lead to dehydration; the product should therefore be used for short-term treatments, no longer than a week. Avoid administration to children under 6 years of age, pregnant women, the elderly, bedridden patients, or those who have difficulty swallowing. Do not take concomitantly with other laxatives. External use only.
