Indications

Codeflor UG is a food supplement of live lactic ferments with Utirose, D-Mannose and inulin indicated to provide a supplemental intake of these nutrients in case of deficiency or increased need.
Lactic ferments and prebiotic fibers can promote the balance of the intestinal flora; Utirose (Hibiscus sabdariffa) can promote the functionality of the urinary tract, the drainage of body fluids and have an antioxidant effect.

Codeflor UG is useful for gastrointestinal well-being because it promotes the absorption of nutrients from the digestive tract. It is composed of:

• D-Mannose a simple sugar, a monosaccharide with six carbon atoms that frequently enters the composition of plant polymers. Poorly absorbed by the human body, after being taken orally, it is largely eliminated through feces and urine and in consideration of this, it is proposed as a natural adjuvant in the treatment of recurrent lower urinary tract infections. The mechanism of action attributed to it consists in its ability to inhibit the adhesion to the walls of the bladder and urinary tract of pathogenic bacteria responsible, in the majority of cases, for these types of inflammation.
• Utirose; Hibiscus flower infusion was traditionally used and appreciated for its numerous healing properties, particularly with regard to the urinary system. Today, it has been established that the main constituents of its phytocomplex (various organic acids, anthocyanidins, proanthocyanidins, and flavonoids) are able to determine a beneficial effect in cases of recurrent and chronic urinary tract infections (to which women are particularly susceptible), determining a reduction in the frequency and severity of the episodes.
• Inulin, a dietary fiber of plant origin (mainly obtained from chicory) with prebiotic characteristics, that is, it is a non-digestible substance of food origin which, if administered in adequate quantities,
  provides benefits thanks to the selective promotion of the growth and activity of one or more bacteria present in the intestinal tract or taken together with the prebiotic. These substances are therefore able to reach intact
  the large intestine (where food absorption and stool formation occur to a minimal extent) and be transformed by the bacteria of the intestinal flora into short-chain fatty acids such as acetate, butyrate, and propionate, all short-chain acids capable of making the intestinal environment unfavorable to the growth and proliferation of pathogenic bacteria.
• Lactic acid bacteria: (L. reuteri SGL01, L. fermentum SGL10, L. acidophilus SGL11, L. gasseri SGL09)
  whose main functions are to rebalance the intestinal bacterial flora, prevent the development of pathogenic bacteria, improve digestive function by counteracting constipation, diarrhea, abdominal bloating, and bad breath, and assist and improve the immune system by stimulating the production of immunoglobulins and the activity of macrophages. In this case they are also particularly useful for repopulating the microflora that characterizes the female genital tissues. The vaginal environment is in fact particularly rich in a characteristic bacterial flora that has the purpose of maintaining the pH of the tissues particularly acidic (less than 4.5), thus preventing the formation of pathogenic bacteria and yeasts (Candida in particular) which are the main causes of vaginitis.

Directions for use and dosage

It is recommended to take one or two sachets a day, dissolved in a glass of water; to be taken in the evening before going to bed and the following morning.

Warnings

Keep out of reach of children under three years of age. Food supplements should not be considered a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Do not consume after the expiry date. The expiry date refers to the product in its intact packaging and correctly stored. The product contains polyols; therefore, excessive consumption may have a laxative effect.
