Indications

CLA is a particular essential fatty acid of the Omega 6 series, naturally present in milk and dairy products, in adult beef, veal, turkey, and chicken. Several studies report its ability to modify body composition, promoting the percentage increase in lean mass and the reduction of fat mass.

It is hypothesized that CLA acts simultaneously on both fats and proteins. On the lipid front, it inhibits the activity of an intestinal lipase, an enzyme that normally digests fats, thus reducing their digestion and absorption; it also promotes an increase in fat oxidation for energy purposes.
