Indications

Alkalos is a food supplement based on Calcium Citrate and Vitamin D3, Potassium Citrate, Magnesium and Zinc useful for integrating these nutrients in cases of reduced dietary intake or increased need. A balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle represent the first approach in the prevention of osteopenia and osteoporosis, usually treated in the early stages through the supplementation of Calcium and Vitamin D3. Gluten-free and naturally lactose-free.

• Calcium, an essential mineral, is necessary for the maintenance of normal bones and teeth, as it represents their main constituent.
• Calcium Citrate is particularly bioavailable and easily absorbed by the body, and its absorption is independent of gastric acid secretion.1
• Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) contributes to the normal absorption and use of calcium and phosphorus, useful for bone mineralization and for the maintenance of normal bones and teeth.
• Vitamin D3 also promotes the physiological functioning of the immune system and supports muscle function.
• Citrate helps reduce the risk of kidney stone formation as it is the most important mineral in the body. important inhibitor of urinary crystallization of lithogenic salts.2
• Magnesium contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth.
• Zinc contributes to normal acid-base metabolism and the normal functioning of the immune system.

Ingredients

Boswellia Serrata, Boswellia Sacra, Myrrh, Buglossoides Arvensis (Ahiflower®), Neutral Potassium Phosphate, Hyaluronic Acid and Chondroitin Sulfate, Pineapple, Vitamin D3, Citrate, Hibiscus, Calcium, L-Methionine, Cranberry, Lactobacillus Plantarum, Magnesium, Potassium, Zinc.

Directions for use and Dosage

• Tablet A: unless otherwise indicated by a doctor, take recommends taking 1 tablet in the morning, during or between meals, with a little water.
• Tablet B: unless otherwise indicated by your doctor, we recommend taking 1 tablet in the evening, with a little water.

Dosage

• Tablet A: contains 1000 IU of Vitamin D3 and 1180 mg of Calcium Citrate, equivalent to 250 mg of Calcium.
• Tablet B: contains 715 mg of Potassium Citrate, equivalent to 274 mg of Potassium (7 mEq), 274 mg of Magnesium Citrate, equivalent to 42.5 mg of Magnesium (3.5 mEq), and 1.5 mg of Zinc.

Warnings

Alkalos A+B is not recommended for patients with hyperkalemia or hypermagnesemia, or conditions that may predispose to the onset of such plasma alterations, such as chronic renal failure and uncontrolled diabetes mellitus. Concomitant use of Alkalos A+B and potassium-sparing drugs (triamterene, spironolactone, amiloride) may cause hyperkalemia. It is therefore advisable to monitor potassium levels in this case. No interactions with other drugs are known. Alkalos A+B is generally well tolerated. Rarely, in particularly sensitive subjects, mild gastrointestinal disturbances such as abdominal heaviness, nausea and occasionally diarrhea may be observed. If these or other side effects occur, consult your doctor.
