Indications

Alfalipas is a supplement based on alpha-lipoic acid, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, and vitamin B6. In many neuropathies, chronic compression of the nerve causes an obstacle to blood flow in the small vessels that nourish it, resulting in ischemia, which causes serious damage. Among other things, compression causes an increase in the production of oxygen free radicals (ROS), which, particularly in cases of prolonged compression, cannot be adequately balanced by the body's antioxidant defenses. The nerve fibers undergo what is defined as a state of oxidative stress, linked to chronic inflammation of the nerve. In these conditions of chronic inflammation, both the body's antioxidant reserves and the concentrations of essential polyunsaturated fatty acids, fundamental components of cell membranes, including neurons, are progressively depleted. At the level of nerve fibers, the integrity and fluidity of the membranes are essential for the correct transmission of nerve impulses. Alfalipas, thanks to its composition – alpha-lipoic acid, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, and vitamin B6 – works to effectively counteract the situation described above.

• Alpha-lipoic acid (often abbreviated to ALA) is a fatty acid with a powerful antioxidant action that helps fight oxidative stress caused by free radicals (responsible for aging and cellular damage) both outside and inside the nerve cell. It therefore represents a valuable molecule as it promotes the protection of the nervous system and helps combat neuropathy.
• Riboflavin (vitamin B2) promotes the energetic use of macronutrients ingested with food and the preservation of the integrity of the nervous system.
• Pantothenic acid (or Vitamin B5) plays a very important role in cellular metabolism; it is essential for the synthesis of cholesterol, steroids (soluble organic components), and fatty acids, and promotes the use of other vitamins, especially riboflavin. Pantothenic acid can improve the body's ability to withstand stressful conditions.
• Vitamin B6 performs multiple functions in the body and is involved in several processes. of 100 enzymatic reactions, especially those related to protein metabolism. It is also necessary for the synthesis of the neurotransmitters serotonin and norepinephrine and for the formation of myelin, a structure capable of acting as protection for the central nervous system.
