Indications

Acerola C is a supplement based on Acerola and Bioflavonoids with Vitamin C. Acerola, or Barbados cherry, is the fruit of a tropical plant (Malpighia punicifolia L.) widespread in Central and South America.
In recent years, acerola has attracted much attention as an exceptional natural source of Vitamin C, a nutrient whose powerful antioxidant action has been widely studied.
This vitamin, in fact, plays essential roles in the regulation of numerous biochemical reactions in the body: it participates in the formation of collagen, allows the development and maintenance of bones, teeth, blood vessels and connective tissues, is involved in the synthesis of corticosteroid hormones and antibodies and is necessary for the absorption of dietary iron.
Acerola also contains flavonoids, especially rutin and hesperidin, compounds that work synergistically with Vitamin C.
