Indications

Stimulfos by Teknofarma is a veterinary drug for dogs and cats indicated for B vitamin deficiencies and their various clinical forms, paresis and tetany, asthenia, convalescence, stress and intense muscular work, anemia.

Composition

Active ingredients

Toldimfos (sodium salt) (equivalent to 40 mg acid) 44.5 mg; thiamine mononitrate (Vitamin B 1) 20 mg; riboflavin (Vitamin B 2) 2 mg; pyridoxine hydrochloride (Vitamin B 6) 1 mg; cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B 12) 8 mcg; Nicotinamide (Vitamin PP) 20 mg; calcium pantothenate 4 mg.

Excipients

Corn starch, rice starch, gum arabic, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, mono- and di-glycerides of edible fatty acids, polyvinylpyrrolidone, talc.

Dosage

For oral use. Stress and intense muscular work, paresis and tetany: depending on the clinical picture and at the discretion of the veterinarian, administer one tablet for every 4 kg of body weight or one tablet for every 8 kg of body weight once a day for ten days. As a multivitamin of group B: one tablet for every 20 kg of body weight once a day for ten days. Anemia and convalescence: one tablet for every 8 kg of body weight once a day for ten days. The tablet has a cross-shaped incision to allow division into halves or quarters. Place the tablet on a flat surface with the score lines facing upwards. Press the center of the tablet with your thumb to divide it into 4 quarters.

Warnings

Do not exceed the recommended dose and duration of treatment. Special precautions for use in animals: none. Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals: none. Do not exceed the recommended dose and duration. The product has a high safety margin. The toxicity of Toldimfos is very low. Acute intravenous toxicity is between 5000 and 6000 mg/kg. Vitamin B1 administered intravenously has an acute toxicity of 300 mg/kg in dogs. The maximum dose used in this species with the administration of Stimulfos Tablets is 5 mg/kg. The B vitamins contained in Stimulfos Tablets do not have particularly high individual concentrations and are those normally used in supportive therapies. Incompatibilities: not applicable.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

The medicine can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Storage

Do not store above 25 degrees C. Close the bottle after each use to protect the medicine from light and moisture. Shelf life of the veterinary medicinal product as packaged for sale: 3 years. Shelf life after first opening the immediate packaging: 25 days.
