This medicine is Indicated for the treatment of a wide range of parasitic infestations, including:

• Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma braziliense, Uncinaria stenocephala
• Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Toxocara cati
• Trichuris vulpis, Strongyloides stercoralis, Taenia spp.

Its safety is high, with no known contraindications or side effects. The pharmaceutical form is a practical tablet, intended for oral administration.

For optimal storage, it is recommended to keep the product in a dry place, at room temperature and away from light, in its tightly closed original container. The shelf life of the medicine is 5 years. It is essential to keep the product out of the reach of children and pets.

For effective parasite control, it is recommended to base treatment on the results of a fecal parasitological examination. Although fasting is not necessary, it is good practice to administer small, light meals. Parasite elimination begins with the first administration, with the eggs disappearing within 10-15 days of the last dose. It is crucial to perform disinfection of the premises and chemical denaturation of the feces to prevent reinfestations and interrupt the parasitic cycle. No special precautions are required for use in animals or for the person administering the product. Excessive doses may cause vomiting only at very high levels (over 500 mg/kg in dogs and 300 mg/kg in cats).

Teknofarma Lendue is specifically formulated for dogs and cats. There are no known interactions with other medicines and it is not subject to a waiting period. This is a veterinary medicine that does not require a veterinary prescription.

During pregnancy, administration is not recommended in the first fifteen days. Subsequently, and during lactation, use should be evaluated by the veterinarian based on the risk/benefit ratio.

Directions for use

For effective administration of Lendue, carefully follow the instructions below:

• Dosage: Administer one tablet for every 8 kg of animal weight per day (equivalent to 30 mg/kg b.w./day of mebendazole).
• Duration of Treatment:
  • For two consecutive days in infestations caused by Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma braziliense, Uncinaria stenocephala, Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Toxocara cati, Trichuris vulpis, Strongyloides stercoralis, Taenia spp., both single and mixed.
  • For one day only in infestations caused only by blood-sucking worms Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma braziliense, Uncinaria stenocephala.
• Method of Administration: The tablet is easily divisible into four parts, each suitable for treating 2 kg of animal. Always round the animal's weight to the next whole number. The chewable and palatable tablets are generally taken spontaneously. In rare cases, they can be crumbled and mixed in a small amount of preferred food or disguised with other kibble.
• Repetition of Treatment: To eliminate the larval forms, it is necessary to repeat the treatment. The complete treatment must be repeated 60 days after the end of the first treatment for roundworm infections and 18 days after the end of the first treatment for hookworm infections.

It is not necessary to fast the animal during treatment; however, it is advisable to administer smaller and lighter meals than usual, preferably on an empty stomach, starting the day before deworming.

Warnings for Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Do not administer Lendue during the first fifteen days of pregnancy. During the remaining 45 days of pregnancy and breastfeeding, administration should only be performed after a risk/benefit assessment by the responsible veterinarian, in the absence of specific studies on the target species.
