Directions for use
For the effective treatment of dermatophytosis, Imaverol is intended for external topical application. It is recommended to use it on cats. It is essential to prepare the emulsion just before use to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Preparation and dilution:
- Dilute Imaverol concentrated solution in 50 parts of warm water. For example, 100 ml of Imaverol should be emulsified with 5 liters of warm water, obtaining a 0.2% enilconazole solution.
- The diluted emulsion must be prepared fresh for each application.
Application method:
- Before treatment, gently remove crusts with a stiff brush soaked in the diluted emulsion, as they can cause irritation. Dermatophytes can extend up to the hair follicle.
- On the first application, wet the animal entirely to reach even subclinical lesions.
- Apply the emulsion with a sponge, rubbing against the grain to ensure even moistening of the skin.
- For long-haired dogs, clipping is recommended before treatment. Alternatively, dogs can be immersed in the diluted solution.
Treatment schedule:
- The standard cycle includes 4 applications, with an interval of 3-4 days between each application.
- In particularly severe cases, your veterinarian may recommend extending the treatment.
Recommended dosages for dilution:
- Small dogs: 40 ml of Imaverol in 2 litres of water.
- Medium-sized dogs: 70 ml of Imaverol in 3.5 litres of water.
- Large dogs: 100 ml of Imaverol in 5 litres of water.
Precautions for User:
- Wear impermeable gloves when handling and applying the product.
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of accidental contact with skin or eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and consult a doctor if irritation persists.
