Deroxen Foam is a safe and effective broad-spectrum topical germicide, ideal for skin diseases in dogs and cats.

Characteristics

Deroxen Foam is a combination of Chlorhexidine digluconate, allantoin and bisabolol. Chlorhexidine is a broad-spectrum topical bactericidal antiseptic, non-absorbable through the skin and non-toxic. The bactericidal activity is rapid against both Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria and Malassezia. Chlorhexidine has a MIC (minimum inhibitory concentration) that is also effective against Candida and Dermatophytes, making it effective against these fungi when exposed to prolonged contact. Allantoin has topical soothing and restorative properties due both to its gentle keratolytic action, which promotes the removal of dead cells, and to its stimulating action on the formation of granulation tissue and therefore the healing of sores and wounds. Bisabolol, a natural active ingredient contained in Matricaria chamomilla oil, has decongestant and anti-inflammatory actions typical of chamomile.

Deroxen Foam is used in all dermatological diseases of dogs and cats in which it is necessary to ensure, topically, a drastic reduction in the load of pathogenic germs and, at the same time, promote repair processes.

In particular, it is useful for:

• infections caused by Malassezia
• superficial pyoderma such as intertrigo, impetigo, superficial folliculitis and pyotraumatic dermatitis;
• deep pyoderma such as furunculosis, canine acne and pododermatitis;
• seborrhea associated with infections;
• dermatophytosis.

Composition

Composition per 100 ml of solution: Chlorhexidine digluconate 0.71 g (equivalent to 0.4 g of Chlorhexidine base); Allantoin 0.40 g; Bisabolol 1.00 g.

Directions for use and Dosage

Spray the foam and distribute it evenly over the animal's entire body or just on the areas to be treated, making it penetrate, if the animal is not shaved, until it comes into contact with the skin (4 - 8 sprays per kg, depending on the length of the hair).

At the end of the treatment, the skin and hair must be uniformly moist. Gently comb the animal if necessary. Repeat initially every day or every other day at longer intervals at the discretion of the Veterinarian until remission.

Storage

Store the product at room temperature and away from light.

Warnings

Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid using excessive foam. Do not rinse. Do not dry with cloths or absorbent paper.
