Mint-flavored lozenges for throat pain and irritation.
Indications
Tantum Verde Antiseptic is used to relieve the symptoms of sore throat.
Dissolving the lozenge in the mouth allows the active ingredients to act on the painful area, also exerting a lubricating action and providing relief.
This helps relieve pain and discomfort in the mouth and throat.
Tantum Verde Antiseptic contains amylmetacresol and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol, both mild antiseptics.
Mint-flavored.
Ingredients
Active ingredients: Amylmetacresol 0.6 mg and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2 mg.
Excipients: Peppermint essential oil, Aniseed essential oil, Levomenthol, Indigo carmine (E132), Quinoline yellow (E104), Sodium saccharin (E954), Tartaric acid (E334), Isomalt (E953) and Maltitol (E965).
Directions for use and Dosage
Use in adults: 1 lozenge every 2 or 3 hours, as needed, up to a maximum of 8 lozenges in 24 hours.
Children aged 6 years and over: maximum 4 lozenges in 24 hours, with a minimum interval of 2 hours between each lozenge.
Tantume Verede Antiseptic must be dissolved slowly in the mouth.
Do not swallow, chew or bite Tantume Verede Antiseptic.
Warnings
This product is recommended for use in adults, children (aged 6 years and above) and elderly patients.
Do not take Tantume Verede Antiseptic if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to amylmetacresol, 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you suffer or are suffering from other throat problems.
Due to the size of the lozenges, small children are at risk of choking if they swallow Tantum Verde Antiseptic.
Prolonged use of this medicine is not recommended.
Sore throat is usually a mild ailment that does not last more than a week.
Consult your doctor if symptoms persist for more than a week. within 3 days, worsening or appearance of other symptoms, such as high fever, headache, nausea or vomiting and skin rash, because it is possible that a bacterial infection (angina, tonsillitis) is underway, which requires different treatment.
Tantum Verde Antiseptic cannot be administered to children under 6 years of age.

Patients with impaired renal and/or hepatic function:
There are no data available on the use of Tantum Verde Antiseptic in patients with hepatic or renal insufficiency.
Overdose
If you exceed the recommended dose, you may experience gastrointestinal disturbances.
Stop taking this product and consult your doctor or pharmacist.
If you forget to take Tantume Verede Antiseptic:
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
- Continue taking the product as normal.

Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
If you are hypersensitive to this product, stop taking it and consult your doctor or pharmacist.
If any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice any other side effects not listed in this leaflet, tell your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
Rare (>1/10,000 to <1/1,000): hypersensitivity reactions, including skin rash, burning, itching, and swelling of the mouth or throat.
Urticaria, angioedema, dyspnoea, sore tongue (glossodynia), and gastrointestinal disorders such as dyspepsia and nausea have been reported; The frequency of these adverse reactions is not known (cannot be estimated from the available data).
