Product Description

Suprasorb® X + PHMBis An antimicrobial dressing for infected or infection-prone wounds, which maintains a moist environment and acts against a broad spectrum of pathogens.

Indications

Antimicrobial dressings for the treatment of infected or infection-prone wounds, both superficial and deep, with light to moderate exudate.

Useful in cases of:

• Arterial and venous ulcers
• Diabetic ulcers
• Decubitus ulcers
• Superficial second-degree burns
• Post-operative surgical wounds
• Skin grafts
• Skin graft donor sites
• Abrasions, Lacerations

Composition

Water, cellulose, 0.3-polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB/polyhexanide)

Directions for use and dosage

Cleanse the wound according to standard procedures, then carefully pat the periwound area dry with the sterile compress.

Apply and shape Suprasorb® X + PHMB to the wound. If using a swab, fold it several times and gently insert it into the wound.

Depending on the degree of exudation, secure with the appropriate secondary dressing.
