Sterile single-use medical device intended for the topical treatment of skin lesions from episiotomy.

Indications

Epinorm gel is a sterile medical device for topical use intended for the treatment of skin lesions in the context of their healing by secondary intention, promoting the natural healing process.

Particularly indicated for lesions from surgical incisions of the perineal tissue (episiotomy) with the aim of facilitating the functional re-epithelialization of the damaged tissue, thus counteracting phenomena of sensory hyper-innervation and, at the same time, avoiding abnormal formations of fibrous tissue:

• The presence of Trans-Traumatic Acid ensures that the natural process of convergence of keratinocytes is optimized, thus determining a progressive normalization of transepidermal water loss and a barrier effect capable of containing the risk of colonization by microorganisms.
• Adelmidrol, a lipid substance widely used as an adjuvant in the normalization of dermo-epidermal inflammatory processes, promotes the physiological endogenous increase in local levels of palmitoylethanolamide (PEA), necessary for the control of local neurovascular balance and the consequent optimal tissue repair. Therefore, the combination of the two main substances determines, given their clearly differentiated mechanisms of action, a synergistic effect capable of promoting the natural process of functional skin re-epithelialization.

Epinorm gel is intended for use on skin tissue damaged by surgery and particularly on lesions resulting from surgical incisions of the perineal tissue (episiotomy) with the aim of facilitating the functional re-epithelialization of the damaged tissue, thus counteracting phenomena of sensory hyper-innervation and, at the same time, avoiding abnormal formations of fibrous tissue.

Directions for use and Dosage

According to medical advice, as a guideline, apply a thin layer of gel to the affected area twice a day.

Warnings

The product is intended for use on damaged skin. It is not recommended for individuals already sensitized to the components present in the formulation. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date. Do not use if the package is opened or damaged as the sterility of the product is compromised. Reusing the single-use medical device may compromise its performance. There are no known side effects of the product if used according to the manufacturer's instructions.

See the date indicated on the package. Shelf life: 36 months.

Store the product in a cool, dry place at room temperature.
