Mouthwash

Composition:

PROXAGOL 0.223% MOUTHWASH 100 ml of solution contains: Active ingredient: Cetyltrimethylammonium naproxenate 0.223 g. Excipients: Methyl p-hydroxybenzoate; Propyl p-hydroxybenzoate. Excipients: Methyl p-hydroxybenzoate; Propyl p-hydroxybenzoate.

Excipients

Glycerol; ethyl alcohol; sodium saccharin; methyl p-hydroxybenzoate; propyl p-hydroxybenzoate; sodium phosphate; ammonium glycyrrhizinate; menthol; polysorbate 20; mint herb flavoring; dimethicone; benzyl alcohol; quinoline yellow E104; patent blue E131; Purified water.

Therapeutic indications

Symptomatic treatment of irritative-inflammatory conditions, including those associated with oropharyngeal pain (e.g., gingivitis, stomatitis, pharyngitis), including those resulting from conservative or extractive dental therapy.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients.

Dosage

Mouthwash: 2-3 rinses or gargles per day with 10 ml (1 tablespoon) of mouthwash, pure or diluted in a little water.

Warnings and Precautions

Use of topical medications, especially if prolonged, may cause sensitization. In this case, discontinue treatment and initiate appropriate therapy. PROXAGOL should not be swallowed; if swallowed, it may cause heartburn, but there is no foreseeable risk of intoxication, as the quantity of naproxen contained in PROXAGOL is much lower than the recommended dosage for oral treatment. PROXAGOL contains parahydroxybenzoates, which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).

Interactions

No negative interactions have been observed with other drugs commonly used in the relevant therapy.

Side effects

No side effects due to the use of PROXAGOL have been reported.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

There are no contraindications to the use of cetyltrimethylammonium naproxenate during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
