Composition

100 ml of mouthwash contains the active ingredient: ketoprofen lysine salt 1.6 grams.

Excipients

Glycerin, ethyl alcohol, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, mint flavoring, menthol, sodium saccharin, chartreuse green coloring, monobasic sodium phosphate, purified water.

Therapeutic indications

Symptomatic treatment of irritative-inflammatory conditions also associated with pain in the oropharyngeal cavity (e.g. gingivitis, stomatitis, pharyngitis), also as a result of conservative or extractive dental therapy.

Contraindications Oki Mouthwash

Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or to any of the excipients. Individual hypersensitivity in subjects in whom the use of other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs has caused allergic reactions such as asthma, urticaria, or rhinitis.

Dosage

The package includes a measuring cup with a 10 ml mark. To open the package, press the cap firmly and simultaneously turn counterclockwise. Rinse or gargle twice a day with 10 ml of OKi inflammation and pain 1.6% mouthwash diluted in approximately 100 ml of water. Inadvertent swallowing of the solution used for rinsing and gargling does not pose any particular harm to the patient as it is equivalent to the dose recommended for systemic administration (160 mg of ketoprofen lysine salt).

Warnings and precautions

Use of topical medications, especially if prolonged, could give rise to sensitization phenomena. In this case, treatment should be discontinued and appropriate therapeutic measures should be taken into account. During prolonged and high-dose therapies, the possibility of competition between absorbed ketoprofen and other drugs with high plasma protein binding should be taken into account. The medicine contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate, known to cause allergic reactions (even delayed).

Interactions

To date, no negative interactions with other drugs have emerged.

Side effects

No local or systemic side effects have been reported due to the use of the solution containing ketoprofen lysine salt. If side effects occur, consult your doctor.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

As with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, OKi inflammation and pain 1.6% mouthwash should not be used in case of confirmed or suspected pregnancy or during breastfeeding.
