Indications

Decuvia Paste is indicated for the daily treatment of areas subject to rubbing and compression that slow normal skin circulation, subject to contact with urine and sweat, and predisposed to the onset of maceration and ulceration. It is therefore particularly recommended for the prevention of bedsores. It creates a barrier effect between the skin and objects or materials with which it may come into contact (diapers, sheets, diagnostic and therapeutic devices, etc.). It helps maintain skin elasticity. Its completely natural formula, free of petroleum jelly and paraffin, rich in functional substances including Aloe Vera gel, Avocado unsaponifiables, Shea Butter, Rapeseed Phytosterols, and Corn Starch, guarantees excellent tolerability even on the most delicate and sensitive skin. Decuvia paste is microbiologically preserved with preservatives also used in the food industry and is delicately scented with an allergen-free and dermatologically tested fragrance.

How to use

Keep skin clean, dry, and supple. After washing with warm water and using a gentle cleanser, dry with a soft cloth, avoiding rubbing.

In the presence of dry skin, the application of moisturizing and emollient oils and creams can help restore the hydrolipidic film which, especially in the elderly, is fragile and reduces its barrier function against physical, chemical, and bacterial agents.

Avoid contact with feces and urine. In cases of incontinence and sweating, the risk of maceration can be prevented with the use of barrier pastes.

Always massage very lightly to avoid increasing pressure on the affected area. - Perform a daily inspection, especially in the areas of bony prominences and skin folds.

Frequently change the position of the bedridden patient, removing localized loads.
