Drug useful for the well-being of the respiratory tract

Indications

Coryfin is used in the treatment of cough and voice alterations (hoarseness) because relieves throat irritation and reduces phlegm, even in smokers.

Composition

Active ingredients

menthol ethyl glycolate 6.5 mg, sodium ascorbate 112.5 mg (equivalent to 100 mg of ascorbic acid or Vitamin C).

Excipients

menthol, mandarin flavoring, citric acid, sucrose, glucose.

Directions for use and Dosage

The recommended dose is one lozenge every 2 - 3 hours, up to a maximum of 6 lozenges per day.

Children: this medicine should not be used in children under 30 months of age. In children over 30 months of age, the dose should be halved (up to a maximum of 3 tablets per day).

Warnings

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Coryfin.

This product contains menthol, a balsamic substance (terpene derivative) which, in large quantities, can cause convulsions in newborns and children.

Do not use this medicine for more than 3 months. 3 days, to prevent some substances contained in this medicine, terpene derivatives, from accumulating in your body and brain.

Contraindications

Do not use Coryfin:

• If you are allergic to the active substances or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
• In children under 30 months of age;
• In children suffering from epilepsy;
• In children who have had convulsions (violent and involuntary muscle contractions) related to fever (febrile convulsions)

Side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. In rare cases, sensitization (excessive reaction of the body to foreign substances with which it has come into contact, which can lead to allergy) or irritation may occur.

If this happens, stop treatment and consult a doctor.

Children: If doses higher than those indicated are taken, children may experience violent and involuntary muscle contractions (convulsions) due to the presence of menthol.

Overdose

If infants accidentally ingest this medicine, or if doses higher than those indicated for children are taken, there may be a risk of convulsions (violent and involuntary muscle contractions) due to the presence of menthol. In such cases, go immediately to the nearest emergency room. close to or contact a doctor.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, or if you are breastfeeding, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.

This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy and in women of childbearing age who are not using methods to avoid pregnancy.

This medicine should not be used during breastfeeding.
