Lozenges for disinfecting the oral mucosa. Useful in case of winter ailments
Cetilsan sugar-free lozenges is a medicine indicated for counteracting sore throats due to seasonal ailments.
cetylpyridinium chloride 3.00 mg.
mint essence, eucalyptol, tragacanth gum, rice starch, magnesium stearate, mannitol, sorbitol.
One lozenge every 3–4 hours, to be dissolved slowly in the mouth, with a maximum of 6 lozenges per day. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance should not take this medicine.
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Not to be used in children under 12 years of age unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor.
During clinical studies, the following have been sporadically reported: transient gum irritation, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, stomatitis, taste alteration, mild tooth discoloration, allergic dermatitis. Local intolerance (burning or irritation) may occur in some cases.
There are no data regarding the use of cetylpyridinium chloride in pregnant women. In pregnant women and during breastfeeding, the medicine should be administered only when strictly necessary and under the direct supervision of a doctor.
