Hydrocellular adhesive dressing for the sacral area.

Indications

Sterile, highly absorbent, conformable, non-adherent hydrocellular dressing in three-layer polyurethane with an adhesive backing layer. The Sacrum format is shaped for use in the sacral area. Minimizes trauma upon removal.

Intended use
Moist healing of chronic and acute wounds, full, partial, or superficial, granulating, exuding, such as: pressure sores, infected wounds, diabetic foot lesions, neoplastic lesions, surgical wounds, 1st and 2nd degree burns. grade, donor sites, hyperproliferating oncological ulcers.

Structure
Trilayered hydrocellular dressing made of highly absorbent hydrophilic polyurethane with an adhesive backing layer. The dressing absorbs exudate in 2 phases:
Vertical: to avoid maceration of the periwound skin
Horizontal: to exploit the full absorbent capacity of the pad.

The dressing provides an effective barrier to bacterial entry, protecting the wound from invasive pathogens and thus promoting faster healing.

The contact layer minimizes trauma to the wound and periwound skin and pain upon removal. In the presence of exudate, the dressing helps maintain a moist environment on the wound.

Composition

Adhesive support layer;
Layer in contact with the wound: perforated, non-adherent polyurethane film;
Intermediate layer: polyurethane foam with a hydrocellular structure and predominantly closed cells with polyethylene glycol particles;
Outer layer: colored polyurethane film impermeable to liquids and bacteria, with high and dynamic gas permeability;
Hypoallergenic, water-based acrylic adhesive that deactivates upon contact with wound fluids, resulting in non-adherence to the wound.
