This herbal tea is effective in cases of organic and functional liver problems due to problems such as hepatitis and steatosis, but also for normalizing blood lipid levels, including cholesterol.

Indications

It supports liver function. It has a tonic effect by promoting increased secretions and the flow of bile from the liver and gallbladder; it has a hepatoprotective effect, inhibiting the synthesis of triglycerides, which, if in excess, are deposited between liver cells, causing steatosis, and it interferes with the inflammatory activity of cyclooxygenase. By modulating the activity of liver enzymes, it activates the purifying function that frees it from the accumulation of toxins. Its bitter components stimulate the secretion of saliva and gastric juices, facilitating digestive function. It has an antioxidant action and combats cellular aging.

Composition

Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertn.

Directions for use and dosage

One tablespoon or more in a liter of cold water. Bring to a boil for 5 - 10 minutes. Strain.
