Indications

Nutramigen Puramino is a hypoallergenic amino acid-based formula for the dietary management of severe forms of cow's milk protein allergy and multiple food intolerances. It is suitable as the sole source of nutrition for infants up to six months of age and as part of a diversified diet for infants and children from 6 months onwards. Unlike extensively hydrolyzed formulas, where proteins are broken down into small chains, Nutramigen Puramino has no proteins; instead, it contains individual amino acids—the separate building blocks of proteins. This means there is no cow's milk protein to which your baby may react.

Feeding Chart

For the correct amounts of boiled water and powder, follow the instructions below, unless otherwise directed by your pediatrician. The feeding information provided here and on the product canisters is intended as a guide only. Your infant or child may be given a full serving of milk. require larger or smaller quantities than those indicated - your pediatrician will advise you if different quantities are necessary.

Use the measuring spoon included in the jar. One level, uncompressed measuring spoon (4.5 g) is added to 30 ml of water. *When the child is not taking adequate quantities of solid foods, the necessary amount of Nutramigen PURAMINO must be added strictly following the doctor's instructions.

Directions for use and dosage

1. Wash your hands thoroughly. Wash and boil in water for 1 minute bottles, teats, rings, caps and utensils.
2. Boil more water for one minute to cool to room temperature before starting the preparation. Pour the appropriate amount of cooled water into the bottle.
3. Add the appropriate amount of powder to the water (see feeding table). Store the dry measuring spoon in the jar.
4. Close the bottle, roll it first in your hands and then shake it vigorously. Check the temperature on the inside of your wrist.

Warnings

Once prepared, the product is subject to rapid deterioration. Administer immediately after preparation, otherwise cover the preparation and store it in the refrigerator at 2-4°C for no longer than 24 hours.

Do not freeze prepared formula and do not use it if it has been out of the refrigerator for more than 2 hours.

Use the preparation that has been in contact with the infant's mouth within 1 hour and do not put the bottle back in the refrigerator. Discard any remaining product in the bottle and clean the utensils carefully.

Do not use microwave ovens to heat the preparation.
