Indications
Zinc is an essential mineral, present in every cell of the body, which participates in multiple enzymatic reactions involving the metabolism of macronutrients. It is also necessary for the functioning of various hormones, including insulin, sex hormones and growth hormone. It also intervenes in DNA synthesis, the immune response and during cell division. It also contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Zinc is found in foods such as oysters, eggs, yeast, liver, meat, cereals and milk. Plant-based zinc is less bioavailable because, by binding to phytic acid (present in fiber), it forms an insoluble complex that is not absorbed. The product is formulated using organic zinc gluconate, one of the most easily absorbed forms by the body.
