Indications

Vita Dha materno 450 is a supplement of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA Plus) from fish oil purified by multiple molecular distillation and Quatrefolic (5MTHF-glucosamine), a source of folate. Each pearl provides 450 mg of DHA and 400 mcg of folate from Quatrefolic.

In women of childbearing age, folic acid supplementation increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the fetus. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily supplemental intake of 400 mcg of folic acid for at least one month before and up to three months after conception. Maternal intake of DHA contributes to the normal brain and vision development of the fetus and breastfed infants. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 200 mg of DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake of 250 mg of DHA and EPA for omega-3 fatty acids. Folate also contributes to normal homocysteine ​​metabolism.
