Indications

Food supplement of alkaline potassium salts capable of correcting excessive acid load, which can be directly assessed by measuring urinary pH; Lithosolv is a food supplement based on Potassium Citrate and Potassium Bicarbonate, useful in cases of deficiencies or increased needs. The technological manufacturing process of the granules allows for the prolonged release of nutrients. Lithosolv granules are formulated in micro-encapsulated, water-insoluble, gastro-resistant granules that disintegrate only upon contact with the intestinal mucosa. Its formulation allows for a reduction in the number of daily administrations. Lithosolv granules for oral suspension, due to the nature of their salts, could cause urine alkalinization. This type of action can be harmful. can be easily verified using pH measuring strips. If urinary pH, measured under the same conditions and at the same time of day for at least 3 consecutive days, remains below 6.0, it is advisable to consult your doctor to evaluate a higher potassium citrate supplement.

Directions for use

Unless otherwise stated Medical indications: We recommend taking 2 scoops of granules for oral suspension, to be taken in 2 daily doses, preferably on a full stomach after suspending in a glass with a little water. Alternatively, you can deposit the contents of the scoop directly into your mouth and drink water immediately afterwards, or mix it with thicker liquids such as yogurt or fruit purees.

Warnings

Contraindicated in patients suffering from hyperkalemia or conditions that may predispose to the onset of this plasma alteration. These conditions include chronic renal failure and uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Keep out of reach of children under three years of age.
Supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women and children are advised to consult a doctor.
Lithosolv is generally well tolerated. Rarely, in particularly sensitive individuals, mild gastrointestinal disturbances such as abdominal heaviness, nausea, and occasionally diarrhea may develop.

Interactions

Concomitant use of Lithosolv and potassium-sparing drugs (triamterene, spironolactone, amiloride) may cause hyperkalemia. It is therefore advisable to monitor potassium levels. There are no known interactions with other drugs.
