FLUORIDE SUPPLEMENT

Indications
Fluoride supplement that allows children to have their daily dose of fluoride. Prevention of tooth decay from birth to adolescence.

Dosage and Directions for Use
From the 3rd month of pregnancy 1 mg per day;
from 0 to 6 months 0.25 mg per day;
from 6 months to 3 years 0.25 mg per day;
from 3 to 6 years 0.50 mg per day.

Characteristics
The constant presence of adequate concentrations of fluoride in the oral cavity significantly reduces the risk of tooth decay.

Properties
The main mechanisms of action of fluoride are: strengthening the crystalline structure of the enamel with the formation of fluorapatite, promoting the remineralization of demineralized enamel and an antimicrobial effect, especially on Streptococcus mutans, decreasing its ability to adhere to oral tissues and multiplication times.
