Indications
Epatoril Plus contains a high dosage of Milk Thistle (400 mg), a plant known since ancient times for its beneficial effects on the liver. The properties of Milk Thistle are due to Silymarin, naturally present in the fruits (seeds) at 4%, extracted with methods that guarantee a high content of the active ingredient: it is in fact titrated at 80% (320 mg of Silymarin). Another characteristic is its high purity, therefore the absence of allergens and contaminants. Furthermore, the Milk Thistle used is exclusively of Italian origin. Silymarin is a mixture composed mostly of three flavonolignans: Silybin, Silydianin and Silychristin. Taken together, these substances have shown antioxidant properties (ability to increase hepatic glutathione levels) and hepatoprotective properties. They are able to accelerate the liver's regenerative processes because they increase the metabolic activity of hepatocytes, and have a defensive action against hepatotoxic substances, alcohol, and toxins by blocking their penetration into cells. As such, Silymarin is used in liver disorders, hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, intoxications and poisoning, digestive disorders related to liver dysfunction, alcoholic steatosis and problems due to alcoholism.
Furthermore, Silymarin promotes the production of breast milk, silybin and silychristin exert a protective effect on the kidneys from cellular damage caused by paracetamol and studies on the role of Silymarin in the control of blood sugar and neoplastic cells are underway.

Milk thistle fruit dry extract (Silybum marianum Gaertn., maltodextrin) titrated 80% Silymarin, Bulking agent: Microcrystalline cellulose; Meriva-Curcumaphospholipid rhizome dry extract (Curcuma longa L., soy lecithin) titrated 18% curcuminoids. Anti-caking agents: talc, silicon dioxide, magnesium salts of fatty acids.

Directions for use
It is recommended to take 1-2 tablets a day, swallowed with a large glass of water.
