Indications

Food supplement containing Lactoferrin, Folic Acid, Iodine and Vitamin C, useful in case of increased need or reduced dietary intake of these nutrients. Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the fetus. Iodine contributes to normal cognitive and nervous system function. Vitamin C protects cells from oxidative stress and increases iron absorption.

Ingredients

Bulking agents: calcium carbonate, microcrystalline cellulose, calcium phosphates; lactoferrin (from milk), vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid); anti-caking agents: polyvinylpolypyrrolidone, cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose, E471, silicon dioxide, E470b; glazing agents: shellac, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, acetic acid esters of mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, E570, polyvinylpyrrolidone; colors: E171, E120; folic acid (pteroylmonoglutamic acid), potassium iodide.

Gluten-free. Contains milk, including lactose.

Directions for use

1 tablet per day at least 1 month before conception and throughout the first trimester of pregnancy.
The tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water or other liquid, preferably before meals.
Supplementation can be extended according to medical advice based on specific needs.

Warnings

Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Food supplements should not be considered a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Lactoferrin is a cow's milk protein; its use is not recommended in case of milk protein allergy.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, away from light, humidity, and direct sources of heat. The date shown on the packaging refers to the product when stored correctly and in its intact packaging.
