Indications

SeliForte is a Cranberry food supplement with Manuka Oil and Orthosiphon indicated to provide a supplemental intake of these nutrients in case of deficiencies or increased needs.

SeliForte is composed of:

• Cranberry (Lingonberry) dry extract 35% organic acids: contains significant quantities of anthocyanosides, flavonoids, citric, malic, quinic and hippuric acids, and numerous other substances with antibacterial properties, which exert their action especially at the level of the urinary tract.
  Recent studies have shown that the juice of the fruits of this plant has the ability to make the surface of the mucous membranes non-adhesive, which inhibits the cellular adhesion of various pathogenic bacteria responsible for urinary tract infections, including Escherichia coli.
  This non-stick action, by promoting the physiological elimination of abnormal bacterial populations, can help counteract colonization by these potentially pathogenic agents. Particularly interesting in combating recurrent urinary tract infections is the juice's property of lowering urinary pH values, thus making urine more acidic, which helps fight the infections themselves.
• Manuka Oil: The main active components of this essential oil are α- and β-pinene, citral, α-terpineol, tasmanol, and aromadendrene, but undoubtedly, the most important component is α- and β-pinene. The most well-known and active ingredient is leptospermone.
  This terpene has been attributed and proven to have numerous properties, the most important of which are its antibacterial (against both Gram- and Gram-positive bacteria), anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties.
  It also appears to have significant smooth muscle relaxing properties.
• Orthosiphon e.s. 0.1% in sinensetin: is known for its diuretic and purifying properties and is widely used in all cases where this type of activity is desired, accompanied by an action that promotes the elimination of uric acid.
  It moderately increases the volume of urine excreted, as also happens with one of the best-known chemical diuretics such as furosemide.
  This plant also significantly stimulates the excretion of chlorine, with an efficacy approximately equal to that of furosemide.
  The diuretic action of the plant is also due to a reduction in fluid retention by the colloids present in the tissues and blood, with a reduction in the tenacity of the bond that exists between water and colloids, which is precisely one of the factors that influence urine production.

Directions for use and Dosage

It is recommended to take 2 capsules per day (1 in the morning after the first urine and 1 in the evening after the last urine), swallowed without chewing or breaking.
It is recommended to drink a good amount of water throughout the treatment period.
