Indications

Premavit Materno is a slow-release vitamin and mineral supplement that guarantees 100% of the recommended nutrient intake levels (R.A.R.N.) during pregnancy. A valid aid in all situations where a specific nutritional intake is required, such as pregnancy and breastfeeding.

• Folic acid: useful for the primary prevention of NTDs (neural tube defects: anencephaly, spina bifida) and other malformations of the nervous system.
• Cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12): a group of substances containing cobalt, involved in the metabolism of fatty acids, amino acids and nucleic acids. Its deficiency during pregnancy can cause very dangerous effects for the unborn child, resulting in disturbances in the nervous system and blood cell production, even a form of anemia.
• Vitamin A and its precursors: are one of the essential factors for vision. It also plays a role in the process of cellular differentiation and is therefore very important for the correct development of the individual, for the ability to respond immunely, and for the integrity of tissues.
• Vitamin D: regulator of calcium metabolism; therefore promotes proper mineralization of the skeleton. It is synthesized by the body, through the action of the sun's rays, starting from cholesterol derivatives present in the skin.
