Indications
Peginpol is a product with a laxative action that regulates the intestine through an osmotic mechanism (it draws water into the intestine).
Peginpol is indicated for chronic constipation and cases of occasionally irregular bowel movements.
Thanks to its affinity for water, Peginpol softens the stool, facilitating evacuation without causing urgency. Furthermore, it is not absorbed, does not ferment in the intestine and does not irritate the mucosa, therefore it does not cause cramps or abdominal pain. It is eliminated in the stool in an unchanged form.
Gluten-free. Lactose-free.
Composition
Each sachet contains: 5 g of Macrosol 3350
Excipients: silicon dioxide, flavoring, sodium saccharin
Directions for use and dosage
From 6 months to 2 years (up to 12 kg): 1-2 sachets per day
From 2 years to 11 years (from 12 kg to 20 kg): 2-4 sachets per day
Above 11 years (>20 kg): 2-6 sachets per day
Dissolve one sachet (5 g) in about half a glass of water.
The daily dosage can be divided into several administrations.
The dose can be increased by 100%. The dosage may be increased or decreased depending on the individual response to treatment. In any case, it is advisable to consult a doctor for the most appropriate dosage.
Use the product in pediatric age only after medical advice.
Normally, the maximum necessary dosage does not exceed 6 sachets per day.
Warnings
It is recommended not to take quantities greater than those indicated, as higher doses may cause the onset of unexpected side effects.
Do not use Peginpol for more than 1 month. 30 consecutive days, if symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
Do not take if intolerant to the product.
Do not take if you are known to be hypersensitive to the components and to polyethylene glycol.
Do not use in children under 6 months.
During treatment with Peginpol it is advisable to follow an appropriate diet accompanied by the administration of an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to avoid dehydration; in any case, it is advisable to consult your doctor.
Do not take if the sachet is damaged.
Each sachet is for single use and must be taken only at the time of use.
If you miss a dose, do not take a double dose, but wait and take the next dose.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, in the original packaging. Do not use Peginpol after the expiration date indicated on the package. The expiration date refers to the product when stored correctly in its original packaging.
