Ortica Sarandrea is a food supplement based on nettle mother tincture.
Mother Tinctures are solutions obtained by macerating Fresh Plants or parts thereof in alcohol at a specific strength. Dried or preserved plants are used only when the distance from their place of origin may induce chemical changes in the plant that render it no longer usable. The alcohol content varies from 45° to 100%. At 65°, we rarely have extractions at 90°. The alcohol content in the resulting solution must be 10%, calculated in relation to the weight of the dehydrated plant. Maceration takes place for 21 days and is followed by decantation, pressing, at constant pressure, of the resulting deposit, and subsequent filtration of the preparation. It is important to emphasize that the most important characteristic that determines the high quality of our Mother Tinctures is the use of the fresh plant.

The nettle is A plant very rich in folic acid and iron, it is used in cases of anemia, arthritis, cystitis, and diarrhea, but also has numerous other beneficial properties. It is used for both internal and external treatments; the leaves and roots are used, the latter for the mother tincture.
The leaves contain chlorophyll, the green colorant of the plant world, which gives the plant strong anti-anemic properties. The plant also has vasoconstrictor and hemostatic properties, so it is especially used in cases of nosebleeds and uterine bleeding. It is also very useful for women who suffer from heavy menstruation.
Nettle is also recommended in cases of physical or psychological convalescence, as it is rich in mineral salts, such as phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, silicon, manganese, and potassium. It also contains vitamins A, C, and K, which make it remineralizing, restorative, and toning. It also has purifying, diuretic, and alkalizing effects. It is indicated for gout, rheumatic conditions, arthritis, kidney stones, gravel, hyperglycemia, and cystitis; and in general, when a detoxifying action is needed.
