Indications

NEF (Neurotrophic Epigenetic Factors), is a multiphasic supplement formulated in tablets based on functional neurotrophic ingredients useful for contributing to the proper functioning of peripheral neurotransmission, when their intake with the diet is absent or deficient. Specifically, the ingredients perform the following actions:

• Vitamin B12 intervenes in the process of cell division.
• Quercetin is a flavonoid widely present in plants and marketed as a supplement. Quercetin is found abundantly in fruits and vegetables and has been shown to possess anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
• Bromelain is a complex of two proteolytic enzymes (molecules capable of degrading other proteins into amino acids) identified in Ananas comosus (Bromeliaceae family, from which the name). It is particularly used in the treatment of inflammatory conditions of soft tissues associated with trauma, in localized inflammation (especially in the presence of edema), and in postoperative tissue reactions. The safety of using bromelain compared to other anti-inflammatory drugs derives from its unique mechanism of action: in fact, whereas NSAIDs inhibit cyclooxygenase, blocking the synthesis of prostaglandins, bromelain instead increases the production of prostaglandins with anti-inflammatory activity at the expense of those with pro-inflammatory activity: in this way, the gastrointestinal damage typical of NSAIDs is avoided. The catalytic potency of bromelain is expressed in GDU/g; the higher this value, the more powerful the enzymatic preparation. NEF contains 5000 GDU of bromelain.
• Alpha-lipoic acid is a molecule present in our body. It has the ability to act both in water-soluble environments and in fats, and this very important property ensures that alpha-lipoic acid has access to all cells in the human body. It is an antioxidant compound that plays an important role in cellular energy metabolism. The synthesis of alpha-lipoic acid by the body decreases with age. According to some studies, this molecule has antioxidant properties and is able to reduce neuronal sensitivity to pain through the inhibition of T-type calcium channels.
• Acetylcarnitine is present in skeletal and striated muscles. It promotes the transport and consumption (oxidation) of long-chain fatty acids for energy production. According to some studies, this molecule has been shown to increase the regeneration of peripheral nerves.
• Naringin is the major flavanone glycoside present in grapefruit. Flavanones are a group of natural phenolic chemical compounds belonging to the class of flavonoids, natural compounds widely present in the plant world. This substance gives the fruit its characteristic bitter taste and its concentration decreases as the fruit ripens.

Directions for use and Dosage

Take one tablet daily with a glass of still water, preferably between meals.
