Indications
Melcalin MgK is a food supplement based on magnesium and potassium to be dissolved in water in which the ratio between magnesium and potassium (1:4.8) has been assessed by instrumentally measuring (BIA-ACC biotekna/ IVNA in vivo neutron activation method/K40 measurement) the recovery of total potassium and extracellular potassium values in a sample of subjects with hydroelectrolytic disorders, vague symptoms and related pathologies.
Magnesium is essential for energy production, maintaining electrolyte balance, for correct neuromuscular function as well as for calcium and potassium homeostasis: a magnesium deficiency is linked to a potassium and calcium deficiency; therefore, its supplementation is also useful for bone and dental health. Potassium, in turn, intervenes in nerve transmission, in the regulation of fluid and electrolyte balance, in the control of muscle contractility and blood pressure7,8,9. Therefore, the benefits of a combined supplementation of the two ions are evident for all excitable tissues in our body, from the nervous, cardiovascular, and gastrointestinal systems.
Melcalin MgK:
