Indications

Melcalin Glico is a preparation indicated for the control of hyperglycemia and as an adjunct in diabetic therapy.

It can be considered useful in maintaining acceptable blood glucose levels and improving kidney function, the first symptom of which is the presence of albumin in the urine. In more severe cases, diabetes leads to renal failure with accumulation of nitrogenous waste and fluid retention with edema of the extremities.
